On May 19th (local time), the European Commission released a pre – disclosure of the anti – dumping investigation on Chinese headless screws and bolts, deciding to take provisional measures. The products involved are headless screws and bolts (whether or not with nuts and washers, made of iron or steel other than stainless steel, regardless of tensile strength, excluding coach screws and other wood screws, screw hooks and screw rings, self – tapping screws, and screws and bolts for fixing railway track construction material), with the EU customs tariff numbers CN codes 7318 15 42 and 7318 15 48. The preliminary anti – dumping duties for the three sampled enterprises are 62.3% for Zhejiang Junyue, 63.9% for Brothers Group, and 80.7% for Huayuan Group respectively. For other cooperating but non – sampled enterprises, the provisional anti – dumping duty is set at 67.4%, and non – cooperating enterprises will face an 80.7% duty.
